That's "The Western New England Way!"
Giving to the Golden Bear Club helps 19 NCAA Division III athletic teams compete at the highest level. Gifts help to guarantee the future success of the athletics program, support the student-athletes of today, and honor the legacy of Golden Bear athletes of years past.
Fundraising Priorities for Golden Bear Athletics
Dedicated student-athletes deserve great facilities. From locker rooms and athletic training rooms to the courts and playing fields, safe and modern athletic facilities are critical to recruitment and team success. These same athletic facilities also serve the recreation and wellness needs of our entire University community.
As our teams continue to succeed at regional and national levels, funding is needed to meet the escalating costs of competition. Team support provides opportunities for extended team travel as well as leading edge training aids and state-of-the-art safety equipment for our student-athletes.
Ensuring that our student-athletes succeed in the classroom and beyond is an integral part of our comprehensive excellence philosophy. More efficient progress and monitoring systems will bridge academics and athletics. Additional resources that provide specific leadership development programming have a tremendous impact on furthering the co-curricular experience.
Coaching Tools & Development:
We are committed to providing our student-athletes with excellent coaches. More effective tools such as coaching technologies that assist in recruiting, scouting, and team and individual skill development help coaches and their teams succeed. Providing appropriate professional development opportunities for all members of the coaching staff enhances both the coaches themselves and the student-athlete experience.
Game Day Experience:
It is essential that we provide an environment that reflects our appreciation for our student-athletes and the hard work they put in daily to represent the University. By providing upgraded scoreboards, press boxes, facility branding, and safety padding, we exhibit that appreciation. The entire Golden Bear Family can connect with their favorite teams, take advantage of designated tailgating areas, and support their teams from afar through seamless livestream broadcast.
Our commitment to excellence each year yields student-athletes and teams that achieve at exceptional levels. The ability to recognize our student-athletes and their accomplishments in an outstanding way is extremely important to us. Team banquets, academic recognition ceremonies, and senior appreciation gifts are all an integral part of our mission to support the whole student-athlete. By taking the opportunity to celebrate and recognize student-athletes' successes, we help to foster the on-going tradition of Golden Bear Athletics excellence.

"Without the Golden Bear Athletic Family, and broader college community, my teammates and I would not be where we are today. As alumni, it's important we remember this and do our part to ensure future generations have the requisite resources to pursue their own successes."

"Being a student-athlete at Western New England University taught me the importance of creating my own opportunities and pushing myself on and off the field. These are skills that I have carried with me throughout my career. For me, supporting Golden Bear Athletics is an important priority because I want to ensure that future generations of student-athletes have the same high-quality experience that was afforded to me."
